Since 1917, Lions have served the world's population through hard work and commitment to make a difference in the lives of people everywhere. As the world's largest service club organization, we are recognized worldwide for our service to the blind and visually impaired. Locally, we are partners in education with Flint Hill Elementary School. We supply eyeglasses for the needy. We also support Georgia Lions Lighthouse for the Blind, Georgia Lions Camp for the Blind, Lions Club International Foundation, Cub Scout Pack 211, Boy Scout Troop 211, Venture Crew 195, and American Heritage Girls. All meet and are based in Oxford at the David Burson Scout Lodge which is owned and maintained by the Oxford Lions. We also are major supporter of the Miracle League Field located at City Pond.
The Oxford Lions Club meets: Every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month. The first Thursday meeting is at noon, and the third Thursday meeting is at 7:00 p.m. at Burson Scout Lodge at 500 Moore Street. Dinner is provided, and visitors are welcome.
