→ Georgia Recreational Trails Program – We received the attached letter from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources on Tuesday letting us know that our recreational trails grant application was not approved. They received 57 applications totaling $5.2 million and had only $1.7 million to award.
→ Records Management – Lauran and Stacey administer our records management and records retention program following state law and guidelines. Some of our records must be retained forever. Most can be discarded according to a schedule. We keep the most recent records at city hall and put the intermediate records into storage at the Turner Building. After staying in storage at the Turner Building for a while, we destroy the older records according to the approved schedule. Here is a truck full of records that Dustin and Jonathan moved to the Turner Building on Friday.
