→ Electric Department – Jonathan Benton has entered the Electric Cities of Georgia course for a Groundman which is the first step toward eventual certification as a Lineman. He participated in his first class last week.
→ Police Department – Chief Harvey and Lt. Pilgrim attended a training class on Creating a Positive Work Environment last June. The certificate was a little late in arriving but now we’re feeling positive.
→ George Street Park – As part of the Oxford College underground electric project we are removing the overhead electric line that crosses George Street Park. The lines came down Wednesday. It’s much easier to take them down after the power has been disconnected. We’ve added some other pictures from the underground project.
