Weekly Update 6/7/2013

From Bob Schwartz, City Manager

Planning Commission – The Planning Commission does not have any business pending so

the June meeting has been cancelled. It would have been held next Tuesday.

→ Honorary Councilmember of the Month – Mr. Walter Snipes, Assistant Director for Residential

Life at Oxford College, is the honorary councilmember for July. He was appointed by Councilmember

Lyn Pace. He will be attending the June 17 work session and the July 1 council meeting. He toured

the city and visited with Chief Harvey, Jody Reid, and Lauran Willis on Friday, June 7, 2013.

Paperless!!– Try as we might, we are not completely paperless yet.

the results for the police department through June 30.

Public Works Department – We have attached the results for this week along with the schedule for

next week.(here) Jody will be in ECG school Wednesday through Friday next week. This last week was a

little hectic. We had several water leaks caused, we think, by the increased water pressure when we

connected the Cook Road water system improvements. Jody got several pressure recorders from the

project engineer and connected them to several of our fire hydrants. We will go over the data with the

engineer next week to help narrow down the problem.

→ Police Department – Here is a copy of the monthly year to date graph that Chief Harvey prepares.

Calls are down, but citations are up through May as compared to previous years.
